what is it?

just a fun little playground for me to mess around with my OCs - started out as a "quick AU oneshot" that eventually spiraled and is now my main OCverse. this is NOT meant as 'serious writing project that will eventually be a real bookTM'. i'm not a writer. i just like to write sometimes.

and because the whole thing is so expansive by now, i felt like i needed a place to put all important info, and not just keep them strewn over various tumblr post. that's what this site is for.

overall, the warcrimes au contains some gore, some fluff, some drama, and a whole lot of unhinged smut.

worldbuilding

one day, i will actually work out some underlying basics, until then i just make it up as i go along, and keep a lot of things rather vague... what we do know: some unspecified time in the future, the terran empire rules over a large part of the known universe. they have been at war with the so-called rebels (or, 'independent colonies') since basically forever.

tech level & vibe: some unspecified form of faster-than-light travel, big space stations, gravity wherever it is needed, lots of planets with conveniently human-friendly conditions. don't think about it too hard ;)
no aliens (that we know of).

timeline

'42: helena is born on a colony planet at the far edges of the empire [#]
'64: helena, fresh out of university, starts working for westmoreland [#]
'65: fia is born on earth
'77: westmoreland dies under mysterious circumstances, helena takes over his operations
'90: fia and helena meet [#] [note: unless otherwise stated, most of the random texts and smut works take place within those next 5 years]
'95: fia dies, helena leaves the empire to resurrect her [#]
'96: fia lives again [x], and our heroes settle in rebel territory [#]
